Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am until 6pm with 1-hour unpaid lunch break each day.Your day will look like this:Attending and investigating water pollution incidentsUndertaking field monitoring works including water quality measurements, water sampling and macroinvertebrate surveysTechnical report writing in response to water pollution incidentsProvision of accurate and timely information to line managementSupporting team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices at all levelsAny other duties for which the post holder is qualified and able to carry out. How you can help us with your experience: Essential:Educated to degree level in a Biological or Environmental Sciences disciplineA competent user of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPointExperience of water quality monitoring and an enthusiasm for working outdoorsExcellent organisational and time-management skillsStrong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to pay close attention to detailA desire to develop project management skillsA willingness to travel throughout the UK and Ireland, to work away and to work long days when required Full, clean, UK driving licence and comfortable driving a small vanRight to work in the UKExcellent written and spoken communication skillsAble to work independently and as part of a team, following precise protocolsMotivated and confident interacting with clients.Field sampling involves working in all weather conditions, and can be physically demanding- walking for varying distances, carrying equipment, bending for periods of time, working in and near water.
