Our Waking Night Welfare Lead achieve the highest standards of care for the young people and adults we support, work well within a team, and comply with all recording systems completing all records to the required standard. You will undertake a high level of lone working including driving to various locations between 22:00pm – 08:00am, where you will be responsible for meeting the support needs of the adults or young people throughout the night, and where you will be expected to show judgement and initiative at a level that is commensurate with this expectation. The role will also include diligent completion of recording and monitoring records. All homes will have sleep in staff that can be called on for additional support if required. You will be based at our home in Widnes, you will also to travel to other local care homes to formally supervise Waking Night Support Workers. You will ensure that they are well led, supervised and trained and they are clear on the expectations of their role and have been given the knowledge, skills and support to be able to succeed. The Waking Night Welfare Lead role involves conducting welfare checks at various residential homes across the company utilising a company vehicle for transportation. Each week, the Welfare Lead will visit a total of four homes, submitting completed welfare check documentation to the Registered Manager of each residential home. Over the course of a month, this totals 16 homes across the Liverpool, Warrington, St Helens and Manchester areas. Currently, the position requires the Welfare Lead to work one night per week visiting homes; however, as additional homes open, this will expand to two nights per week with additional locations. This role is essential for ensuring the well-being and safety of residents and waking night staff during night time hours. You will be required to carry out a range of duties within your role.
