This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of adults with intellectual disabilities.About Reach Ability:Reach Ability is committed to promoting the rights, dignity, and autonomy of individuals with intellectual disabilities. Our Human Rights Committee ensures these values are embedded in every aspect of our services, advocating for fairness, equality, and respect.About the Role:As an ordinary member of the Human Rights Committee, you will contribute to the oversight and protection of the rights of those we serve. Working closely with the Chairperson and fellow committee members, you will review cases, policies, and practices to ensure alignment with human rights principles and advocate for individuals’ dignity and inclusion.This is a voluntary position, and while experience is welcome, it is not essential—your passion for human rights and a willingness to contribute thoughtfully are what matter most.Key Responsibilities:·        Attend and actively participate in committee meetings, sharing your insights and ideas.·        Review cases and policies to ensure they respect the rights of individuals with intellectual disabilities.·        Advocate for human rights by identifying risks and offering suggestions for improvement.·        Collaborate with committee members and stakeholders to foster a culture of dignity and equality.·        Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all committee workWhat We’re Looking For:We encourage applications from individuals who have:An interest in human rights and advocacy, particularly for individuals with intellectual disabilities.A collaborative mindset and the ability to contribute thoughtfully to discussions.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Empathy, integrity, and a commitment to upholding the rights of vulnerable individuals.Experience in legal, social work, healthcare, or similar fields is welcome but not essential.What You’ll Gain:The chance to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals.Experience working in a human rights-focused team environment.The opportunity to contribute to meaningful and lasting change.Reach Ability ae equal opportunity employers
