Vendor Assurance AssistantUp to £24,000BBF LimitedBlackburn or HullWe have an exciting opportunity for a technical vendor assurance professional to join our Vendor Assurance team following the promotion of the current postholder into another role within the business. This role can be based at either our Blackburn head office or Hull bakery.The vendor assurance team are the crucial link between our technical and procurement teams, ensuring all our vendors/suppliers are adhering to our strict technical and ethical standards relating to quality, safety and legalities/compliance.Who are we looking for?We are seeking a highly motivated, determined and enthusiastic individual with the resilience to thrive in a pressurised environment and prioritise workload to deliver a centre of technical excellence.We are ideally looking for someone who possesses a food science qualification as well as additional qualifications in HACCP and/or auditing.You’ll be joining a high-achieving team with a supportive manager who is keen to upskill their team. They have a track record of developing their team and many have gone on to progress their career significantly.The role of Vendor Assurance Assistant at BBF·        Upkeep and monitoring of the approved supplier and approved materials lists, including risk assessments.·        Review and approval of new suppliers to ensure compliance.·        Review and approval of technical material specifications to ensure compliance.·        Ensuring all supplier assurance documentation is kept up to date.·        To advise other departments on company standards relating to vendor assurance.·        Aid in the development and implementation of procedures and systems relating to vendor assurance.Who are BBF Limited?BBF Limited are one of the UK’s leading ambient cake and chilled dessert manufacturers of retailer own label, licensed and branded cakes, supplying recognisable major retailers across the UK and European market.Our team of experts develop and manufacture a wide range of high-quality ambient cake products across several different categories including celebration cakes, mini rolls, mince pies, fruit pies and a wide range of chilled desserts including cheesecake, crumbles and sponge cakes.
