Trainee Land Surveyor

About the Role:EPS require a Trainee Land Surveyor to work under the supervision of our Senior Surveyor based at the head office in Mallow, Co. Cork.As a land surveyor you will be measuring and mapping the Earth’s surface to determine property boundaries, land features, and other important details to aid in the construction and design of water and wastewater treatment plants across Ireland.Training will be provided with the role, but a keen interest in technology, topography, GPS and working at site locations will be essential. Previous experience is advantageous. Key Responsibilities (You will be trained to):Complete topographical surveys, of various scale and complexity alongside the Senior Surveyor or independentlyComplete laser scan surveys of various sites to a high level of accuracy and precision using the correct methodology and quality control measuresProcess multi data sets from various instrumentation to a high working standard, including topographical, laser scan, and UAV dataMaintaining the instrumentation to a high working standard and ensuring it is fit for purposeBecome competent in the use of AutoCAD, N4ce, Cyclone and other survey software along with Leica Total Stations, laser scanners, GPS technology and UAVCarry out engineering setting out for projects within the company both Civil and MechanicalCollaborate with different departments assisting project deliveryKey Competencies and Skills:Strong interest in learning the Land / Engineering surveyor professionAppreciation of drawing standards and CAD software packagesAbility to learn Survey processing software packagesKeen interest in learning from the senior surveyor on all aspects of the roleFlexible to work nationwideQualifications:Civil engineering experience would be an advantageLeaving Certificate or equivalentBachelors degree in a related field advantageous but not essentialFull clean driving licenceCompensation Package:Competitive salary and benefits packageOpportunities for professional development and career growthCPD accredited employerA collaborative and supportive work environmentLaptop or desktop and work mobile phone providedFlexible working options, dependent on location and role requirementsSee company website for more information on the benefits of working in EPS Group We welcome speculative applications from individuals of all levels.If you are interested in working with us but are not sure if the role above is for you, please feel free to get in touch for an informal discussion about what we do and what you could bring to the team.
