Location: Lucena Clinic, Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services Initial Base: Rathgar, Dublin 6Lucena Clinic provides a comprehensive Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service for young people with moderate to severe mental health disorders to defined catchment areas, with an under 18 population of 172,585, residing in South Dublin City and County plus North and West County Wicklow. Clinical Teams are based throughout the catchment area operating clinics in Tallaght, Rathgar, Dun Laoghaire, Bray, Wicklow town and Arklow.Temporary Registrar or Senior RegistrarLucena Community Eating Disorder TeamFull -Time (39 hrs per week) fixed term until 31/12/2024 Saint John of God Community Services, Community Mental Health Services Lucena Clinic are now inviting applications for the post of Temporary registrar or senior registrar to join the specialist CAMHS eating disorders team based in a purpose-built clinic in Mount Carmel, Rathgar. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible, innovative and committed to providing a quality service that responds to the needs and priorities of our service users. The successful candidate will work within a cohesive, committed consultant lead multidisciplinary team, guided by a strong, evidence-based model of care.Role SummaryThis post is to fill a newly funded NCHD role with the team, to provide psychiatry and medical support to the existing multi-disciplinary team. Clinical Supervision will be provide by the Clinical Consultant Lead, Dr Michelle Clifford. The community eating disorder team is a multi-disciplinary team and accepts referrals from St John of God’s CAMHS teams for assessment and treatment of eating disorders and suspected eating disorders. Minimum Requirements·        A degree in medicine is a basic requirement.·        All applicants must be currently registered with the Irish Medical Council (IMC). ·        At least 1 year previous experience in psychiatry is essential.·        Experience of working in the Irish health care system is desirable.·        Experience in the assessment and treatment of child and adolescent eating disorders is welcome but not essential.·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills RemunerationSalary Grade 1538 (Registrar) or 1627 (Senior Registrar) on the Consolidated HSE Pay Scale €65,554 - €95,724 per annum pro rataInitial locationThe initial location of this role is in Lucena Clinic Rathgar. The service is due to move to a new purpose built facility on the Mount Carmel Hospital Campus in the Autumn 2024. However, you may be required, from time to time, to work at SJOG CS’s other places of business or/and the premises of such associated s companies or organisations as SJOG CS may require.
