Team Lead – BI/Report Writing and Data Migration Support

Reports:                          EHR Technical & Data Project ManagerLocation:                        Open to Blackrock Health Group locations / Hybrid working model  Hours:                            37 hours per week Working style:               50/50 Hybrid (on-site as & when required; may be some travel to Blackrock Health sites in limited circumstances) Role Profile Blackrock Health is embarking on a major EHR transformation program across all Blackrock Health facilities. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fulfil a dual role as Team Lead for Report Writing and a Support Resource for Data Migration between existing 3rd party applications and Meditech Expanse 2.2. The successful candidate will lead the report writing team, create and refine reports, and support data migration processes, ensuring accurate and compliant data transfers.Key Responsibilities (i) Report Writing Team Lead:Scoping:·      Collaborate with other core team leads to scope and understand the list of required reports to support business needs.·      Determine resourcing requirements to deliver reports within project timelines.·      Work closely with stakeholders to comprehend reporting and data requirements, ensuring alignment with business needs.Team Leadership:·      Recruit, lead, and support the report writing team to deliver on the scoped requirements.·      Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.Report Writing:·      Support the development and refinement of Power BI, SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) and MAT/NPR reports.·      Develop complex operational and statistical reports using Meditech report writing tools.·      Optimize and improve the performance of scheduled reports and data file generation.·      Develop test scripts, policies, and procedures for reporting.·      Engage with third-party vendors for specialized report writing support.Testing and Validation:·      Support rigorous testing and validation of reports to maintain accuracy and integrity.(ii) Data Migration Support Resource:Data Extraction and Migration:·      Co-ordinate with local resources and/or 3rd party vendors to obtain data extracts from third-party applications.·      Engage with the Meditech migration team, third-party application vendors, and other EHR Core Team Leads to support data cleaning, quality verification, and data migration to Meditech and alignment with 3rd party applications that are to be retained after the implementation of Meditech Expanse.o  Perform matching and clean-up activities for business review from existing hospital systems.o  Liaise with clinical application vendors to align with unique identifier changes and integration requirements.·      Establish and maintain clear and consistent definitions for all data elements used in the EHR system. Ensure that these definitions are understood and utilized uniformly across all teams and stakeholders to facilitate accurate data entry, reporting, and analysis.·      Define the specific characteristics and properties of each data element, including data types, lengths, and relationships to other data elements.·      Ensure compliance with all relevant data regulations, standards, and best practices, including those related to data privacy, security, and interoperability.Testing and Validation:·      Support rigorous testing and validation of data extracts to maintain accuracy and integrity.·      Identify and resolve issues related to data extraction processes efficiently.·      Maintain clear and comprehensive records of data extraction processes for future reference and compliance purposes.Collaboration:·      Liaise closely with other core teams (Clinical, Administrative, Financial, Technical & Operational) to validate scope and deliver on requirements.·      Liaise with internal resources and 3rd party vendors to obtain initial data extracts. Background & Experience 5+ years of systems analysis experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.Bachelor's degree preferred.Proven experience in developing complex SQL scripts and stored procedures.Knowledge of, and experience in SQL Reporting Services, SQL Integration Services, Power BI, and Qlik.Knowledge of, and experience in developing reports using NPR/MAT preferred.Proven experience with Meditech Expanse.
