Support Worker (Outreach Service) x 2Permanent - 35 hours per weekSupervisor/Instructor Salary Scale €35,932 to €51,883 DOEThe Role: The Support Worker, along with the Outreach Team will ensure individuals are respected, treated with dignity, supported to make personal choices and decisions on a daily basis. Responsibilities:Take part in the completion of the Assessment of Need for individuals Support the individual to enhance their life by playing a role in ensuring that the goals and objectives are achieved in accordance with their Support PlanSupport each individual where appropriate with regards to their healthSupport each person where appropriate with regards to their personal and intimate careMaintain effective communication with families and relatives, where appropriate.Support the Individual to make and maintain good relationshipsMaintain high professional standards and confidentialityRequirements:Minimum Qualification: QQI Level 5 Intellectual Disability Practice/Social Care/Relevant - must include Empowering the Individual, Intellectual Disability and Community InclusionHold a full, manual driving licence (for driving Kare vehicles) and access to own vehicle is essential1 years’ experience working in a Local(Day) Service/Community HouseBe familiar with policies and procedures in relation to the Safeguarding of Vulnerable AdultsA proven track record in implementing an Individual Support PlanExperience administering medication and supporting individuals with personal careEnjoy working on your own with a person with an intellectual disabilityAbility to build trusting and respectful relationshipsUse your own initiative to get the job done and complete household tasksIT skills and the ability to carry out administrative tasksBe flexible in your working arrangements Benefits 25 days annual leaveFederation of Voluntary Bodies Pension Scheme: Employer 7% & Employee 5% contributionsOptional Salary Protection PlanPaid Maternity/Paternity Leave (subject to service)Rewarding work with flexible hoursEmployee Assistance Programme ESDA.ie and local Employee DiscountsPersonal Development, Professional Growth and Career Progression Closing date for applications is 28th April 2026.A detailed Job Description is available on request.
