The Supplier Onboarding Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end process of onboarding new suppliers to the procurement system. This role involves ensuring that suppliers meet all necessary requirements, documentation is complete, and the onboarding process is efficient and compliant. The Supplier Onboarding Specialist plays a crucial role in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective procurement operations.The Supplier Onboarding Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring that the procurement department has a reliable and compliant supplier base. By effectively managing the onboarding process, this role contributes to the overall success of procurement operations and supports the achievement of organizational goals. This is a part-time role with daily four hours, to be agreed within the core hours of 08.00 to 17.00 Monday to Friday.Your day will look like this:Supplier OnboardingCollaborate with various departments to gather and document supplier onboarding requirements.Conduct due diligence on potential suppliers to assess their suitability and compliance with company standards.Facilitate the completion of necessary documentation, including accreditations, insurance certificates, and compliance forms.Manage credit accounts with suppliers by completing credit application forms and monitoring credit limits.Work closely with the Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) team to ensure subcontractors align with company policies and standards.Relationship ManagementServe as the primary point of contact for new suppliers during the onboarding process, addressing enquiries and providing guidance.Foster positive relationships with suppliers, establishing clear lines of communication and building trust.Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across operations and purchase ledger departments to resolve any issues related to supplier onboarding.Process Improvement:Identify opportunities for streamlining and enhancing the supplier onboarding process to increase efficiency and accuracy.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and automation where possible.How you can help us with your experience: Prior experience in supplier onboarding, procurement, vendor management, or a related role is preferred.Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and industry best practices.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Detail-oriented with the ability to review and analyse supplier documentation accurately.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Proficiency in using procurement software and systems.Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to supplier onboarding.Right to work in the UK.
