Staff Grade Occupational Therapist

 Saint John of God Community Services Clg., Liffey Services supports individuals with intellectual disabilities to be active participants within the community that they live. Saint John of God Liffey Services invites applications for the post of Basic Occupational Therapist. This is a Permanent Part Time position located in Celbridge and Dublin, for service users in the age range of 18+ years. Basic Grade Occupational TherapistPermanent – 0.77 WTEEssential Requirements: ·        A CORU recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.·        Must be CORU registered.·        Minimum of 1 year work experience as an Occupational Therapist or experience working as an Occupational Therapist in the area of intellectual disability desirable.·        Have worked as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.·        Professional knowledge in the area of sensory integration, postural management, independent skills and community living.·        The successful candidate must be flexible, innovative and have excellent communication, interpersonal and effective caseload management skills.·        Candidates must possess a full clean driving license and have access to a car. Applications will be short-listed on the information supplied in the Curriculum Vitae and a panel may be formed from which future vacancies will be filled.
