KildareSpeech & Language Therapist Salary Scale: €42,622- €61,303 In line with the HSE National Programme for Progressing Disability Services , Kare is the Lead Agency for the provision of supports across South Kildare West Wicklow. The successful candidate will join an established Interdisciplinary CDNT, which reconfigured in 2014, providing quality, evidenced based and family-centred supports for children and young people aged 0-18 years, who present with complex needs associated with a disability, within an interdisciplinary framework, to support their development to enable active participation in community life. Responsibilities:Providing high quality services to children and young people with a range of disabilities and complex needsCollaborating with children/young people while working in partnership with their family/carers and other relevant stakeholders to identify and achieve goalsWorking in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team in the planning and delivery of services Taking initiative to move the service forward and show a willingness to try out new ideas that add service delivery valueEnsure that all records and technical data are up to date and available if requiredEnsure strict compliance with health and safety standards and adhere to operational guidelines Requirements:A Degree in Speech and Language Therapy including a dysphagia qualification.Have experience in a similar role (Experience working with children/young people is desirable)Be registered with CORUHold an appropriate and effective set of professional values and beliefs and behave in line with professional standards as set down by Kare and relevant professional bodiesDemonstrate sufficient clinical skills in assessment intervention and diagnostics Communicate effectively with children/young people, their families, and the interdisciplinary team to provide a client and family centred serviceSome flexibility in working hours will be required to meet the needs of the serviceFull Clean Licence – access to own vehicle Benefits include:Salary paid on HSE Scale with annual increment29 days annual leavePaid Maternity/Paternity Leave (subject to service)Rewarding work with flexible hoursEmployee Assistance Programme Contributory Pension Plan Optional Salary Protection PlanPersonal Development, Professional Growth and Career Progression A detailed Job Description is available on request.
