KildareSpeech and Language Therapist Manager Salary Scale: €54,471 - €65,391 The South Kildare West Wicklow CDNT operate a biopsychosocial model and adopted a Family Centred Approach. The Speech and Language Therapist Manager will work as part of an inter-disciplinary team to provide clinical supports to children aged 0-18 years who present with complex needs associated with a disability and their families. The CDNT provide supports across South Kildare and West Wicklow. As a Senior on the team they will have leadership responsibilities within the team.The Speech & Therapy Manager in the CDNT of Kare will be responsible for the delivery and development of a high quality, integrated and effective Speech & Language Therapy service within an interdisciplinary service model.ResponsibilitiesBe responsible for the overall management and performance of Speech and Language therapy activity within the designated area in keeping with good professional practice and subject to agreed national policy directives and priorities including the clinical programmes.Provide clinical and professional leadership in the delivery of a high quality Speech and Language therapy service.Work as a member of the multidisciplinary team as required for service deliveryProvide line management, professional and clinical supervision to Speech and Language Therapists staff members.Maintain standards of practice and levels of professional knowledge by participating in continuous professional development initiatives and attendance at courses as appropriateContribute to the development of policies, procedures, guidelines and safe professional practice and adhere to relevant legislation, regulations and standards and ensure that staff comply with sameOptimise the use of available resources to achieve effective outcomes in planning and delivering a flexible service that meets the needs of service users. RequirementsPossess a relevant Speech & Language Therapy qualification Have 5 years full time (or an aggregate of 5 years full time) post qualification clinical experienceHave the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability, management, leadership and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the officeDemonstrate a level of clinical knowledge, clinical reasoning skills and evidence based practice appropriate to carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the role in line with relevant legislation and standards.
