We are committed to high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based practice in a supportive, collaborative environment where clinicians can thrive and make a real difference in people’s lives.Job Title:        Sessional Psychotherapist – Women’s Mental Health PathwayLocation:      Centric Mental Health, Ranelagh Medical, Ranelagh, Dublin 6Reports To:   Principal Specialist Psychologist / Clinical LeadSalary Range: €47.00- €63.00 per hour dependant on experienceRole OverviewThis is a sessional (contract) role within Centric Mental Health’s specialist Women’s Mental Health Pathway.In this role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-informed psychotherapy to women experiencing the emotional and psychological impact of:·       Perimenopause and menopause·       Fertility challenges and reproductive health concerns·       Pregnancy, the postnatal period, and motherhood·       Chronic pain conditions, including endometriosis and pelvic pain·       Long-term medical conditions affecting overall wellbeingWorking as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver integrative, person-centred, and trauma-informed care tailored to the complex and often interrelated needs within women’s health. You will contribute to the ongoing development of this specialist service while maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice. Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Practice·       Deliver psychotherapy within a specialist women’s mental health context, in line with best practice and within your scope of competence.·       Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial and risk assessments, using a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach.·       Develop collaborative therapeutic formulations and clearly defined intervention plans.·       Provide individual psychotherapy (and group work where appropriate) aligned with service needs.·       Maintain a consistent sessional caseload, ensuring continuity and quality of care.·       Implement appropriate clinical risk management, including safeguarding procedures where required. Multidisciplinary & Team Working·       Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team supporting the Women’s Mental Health Pathway.·       Liaise effectively with internal colleagues and external professionals (e.g. GPs, consultants) to ensure integrated care.·       Contribute to a culture of inclusivity, respect, and continuous learning Clinical Governance, Quality & Risk·       Practice in accordance with professional codes of ethics, organisational policies, and relevant legislation.·       Participate in case discussions and case management·       Escalate clinical risks or safeguarding concerns promptly to the Clinical Lead.·       Engage in audit, service evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives.·       Maintain clear professional boundaries at all times. Supervision & Continuing Professional Development·       Participate in regular clinical supervision as required by your professional body and Centric Mental Health.·       Maintain a commitment to ongoing professional development, particularly in women’s mental health.·       Stay informed regarding developments in evidence-based practice and women’s health-related psychological care. Administration & Record Keeping·      Maintain accurate, timely and confidential clinical records in line with GDPR and organisational policies.Complete all required documentation (e.g. case notes, reports) promptly.Use digital systems effectively to support service delivery and outcome monitoring.Contribute to referral processes and service coordination as required. Essential Requirements·      Full accredited membership with a recognised Irish psychotherapy body (e.g. IAHIP, IACP).·      Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification clinical experience.·      Demonstrated experience delivering psychotherapy across a range of presentations.·      Strong understanding of clinical governance, ethical frameworks, and evidence-based practice.·      Experience in assessment, formulation, and risk management.·      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.·      Ability to work both independently (in a sessional capacity) and as part of a multidisciplinary team.·      Commitment to reflective practice, supervision, and CPD. Desirable·      Experience working in women’s mental health or related specialist areas.·      Knowledge of psychological impacts of reproductive health, chronic illness, and pain conditions.·      Experience delivering structured or brief therapeutic interventions.·      Familiarity with digital or remote therapy platforms. What We Offer·       Flexible, sessional working model·       Supportive multidisciplinary environment·       Opportunities to contribute to a growing specialist service·       Access to internal supports and resources #IJ1
