If you're looking for a role where your technical skills and customer-first mindset can shine, we’d love to hear from you.What You’ll Be DoingProviding 1st line telephone and technical support across a wide range of technologies.Managing and resolving support tickets efficiently, ensuring regular client updates.Collaborating with 2nd Line and Escalation Engineers to meet SLAs.Maintaining and updating client knowledge base documentation.Supporting colleagues across the engineering team and managing vendor tickets.Working as part of a shift rota covering contracted client hours (Monday to Friday).What You’ll BringStrong customer service and communication skills.Ability to prioritise and manage workload in a fast-paced environment.Proactive problem-solving approach and attention to detail.Experience in IT Service Desk environments.Knowledge of networking (routers, switches, firewalls) and basic configuration.Hands-on experience with Office 365, Microsoft Desktop, and Windows Server environments (2008–2016), ideally in VMware ESXi or HyperV.Minimum qualificationsEducationMatric (Grade 12) or equivalent (NQF Level 4) – essentialIT-related tertiary qualification (e.g. Diploma or Certificate in IT, Computer Science, or Information Systems) – preferredCertificationsCompTIA A+ – foundational hardware/software supportCompTIA N+ – basic networking knowledgeMicrosoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or MCSAITIL Foundation – for understanding service management frameworksExperience1–2 years’ experience in a Service Desk or IT Support roleFamiliarity with ticketing systems and remote support too What We ValueA commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement.Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.A collaborative mindset and a passion for learning.Alignment with OryxAlign’s values and professional standards.
