To provide services in line with our Vision, Mission, and Values, where the delivery of exceptional quality person centred care to our residents is their focus.The successful applicant will be offered the opportunity for training and development so that we can achieve the best outcome for our residents, while at the same time supporting our staff in their professional development.Purpose of the Role:The successful candidate will have responsibility for the provision of a quality Speech and Language Therapy service to residents of the Talbot Group’s Adult's Residential Disability Services Demonstrate the requisite clinical knowledge and high level of competence in the delivery of appropriate Speech and Language Therapy assessment, intervention and evidence-based practice with our client groups.Demonstrate the ability to appropriately disseminate relevant information about assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, implementation and evaluation of treatment to all relevant parties; client, family, frontline staff teams, multi-disciplinary colleagues, external professionalsDemonstrate and apply relevant clinical experience in the assessment and management of feeding, eating, drinking and swallowing disordersCollaborate with client, family, carers and other staff in appropriate goal setting and treatment / intervention planningAttend and participate in relevant meetings and case conferences on behalf of the SLT ServiceProvide clinical supervision and line management to Basic Grade Speech and Language TherapistRepresent the department and engage in active service planning for the Speech and Language Therapy serviceTake an active role in continuing to implement and further enhance the Total Communication Initiative across the serviceDemonstrate the ability to work with multiple stakeholders across clinical and non-clinical services with the objective of optimising the communication status of clients in line with current HSE and HIQA standards and practiceDemonstrate evidence of and commitment to continuing professional development Demonstrate experience or an interest in working with adult clients with complex needs including behaviours of concernRole Requirements:Essential Qualifications:A Bachelor of Science in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalentCurrent registration with CORUA minimum of 3 years post qualification experienceAccess to own transportFull Driving LicenseDesirable Qualifications:Training in Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC)Completion of Lámh training courseExperience in working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary colleagues in supporting the needs of clients with behaviours of concern Previous experience as a Senior Speech and Language TherapistRewards & Benefits:Comprehensive induction processExtensive training programmeOn-going mentoring and supportContinuous Professional Development supportCareer progression opportunitiesCompetitive salary with increments4 working weeks annual leaveChristmas GiftService based recognition awards€500 refer a friend initiativeEmployee Assistance Programme for staff and their familiesBike-to-Work SchemeFree onsite Car Parking If you are excited by this opportunity and would like to join our team as a Social Care Worker we would like to hear from you.  Talbot Group is an Equal Opportunities Employer
