We have the most advanced diagnostic imaging equipment available today, full Cardiological facilities including a Cardiac Catheterisation Suite and Clinical Laboratory services.We are seeking a Senior Sonographer to join the Radiology team. The Radiology department at Hermitage Medical Clinic provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic procedures delivered in state of the art facilities by a team of experienced professionals committed to excellence in clinical standards and patient care.Responsibilities:Clinical, Scientific and Technical·     Undertake all ultrasound scanning procedures and to maintain a highly specialist standard of technical skill, efficiency and patient care in accordance with departmental protocols and procedures.·     Maintain full safety standards in ultrasound.·     Keep abreast of latest technical and scientific advancements within the field of ultrasound.·     Efficient and effective use of equipment and accessories correctly, reporting any faults to the Clinical Specialist Sonographer and/or the Radiology Services Manager·     Participate in implementation of new technology and service developments·    Be aware of the department’s Local Rules and policies and to instruct other members of staff in safe practices. Policy Service Development and Implementation·     Be familiar with and understand the Clinic’s policies and procedures in relation to Infection Control, Fire, Health and Safety at Work regulations and to attend mandatory training.·     Participate in the implementation of clinical procedures, protocols and work instructions.The Person:Qualifications: ·        BSc in Radiography·        CORU registration·        Postgraduate ultrasound qualificationExperience:·        Minimum of 2 years’ experience in US scanning·        Familiar with a computerised patient information system ad PACSKnowledge:     ·        Thorough understanding of legislation relating to MR Health & Safety·        Understand the requirements of and promote CPD  Why work at the Hermitage Medical ClinicThe Hermitage Medical Clinic are passionate about our people and believe in their development and growth.
