Senior Occupational Therapist

 Saint John of God Community Services Clg Liffey Services supports individuals with intellectual disabilities to be active participants within the community that they live. Saint John of God Liffey Services invites applications for the post of Senior Occupational Therapist. This is a permanent part-time position currently based in Celbridge, Co. Kildare Senior Occupational TherapistPermanent – 0.77 WTE The successful candidate must:Have a recognized qualification in Occupational Therapy.Full CORU registration or CORU application under process (commencement in the role will be subject to successful registration with CORU)Have a minimum of three years’ post qualification experience working as an Occupational Therapist, and preferably experience working with adults with intellectual disability.Have keen interest in management of seating and posture difficulties and management of sensory processing disorder.Have keen interest in working with older adults and in the area of dementia.Demonstrate ability to work within a Multi-disciplinary team providing services to adults with complex needs.Demonstrate excellent initiative, flexibility, communication, and organizational skills.Demonstrate ability to provide clinical supervision and supporting others development.Have a full clean driver’s licence and access to own vehicle.Desirable:Membership of AOTITraining in management of Sensory processing disorderTraining in management of Complex seating and Posture difficultiesExperience in the area of Dementia and family/staff trainingApplications will be short-listed on the information supplied in the Curriculum Vitae and a panel may be formed from which future vacancies will be filled.
