Operating within the Revenue Assurance function, the Billing Manager will be involved in the development and management of our commercial customer billing function.The RoleWorking closely with senior management within the company, the candidate will work on the following areas:Systems & Process Development and ManagementDevelop and manage a robust billing process for our existing commercial customer base with capacity for scale as our customer base growsBe capable of working on your own initiative to research and understand the various wholesale charges associated with a supply point and assist the pricing manager in ensuring costs are billed sufficientlyUtilise data management experience to efficiently use our data warehouse in the creation of monthly bills for our commercial customers.Work with other departments and bill print vendors for the effective delivery of invoices to customers via multiple channels.Develop reporting and dashboards to analyse and manage unbilled consumption for our commercial customers.Automation of existing and new tools to enable continuous improvement Project Lead- BillingAssume the role of billing lead on cross-functional projects involving the billing engine development.Proactively work with the project management team on the development of a billing engine/system to ensure all requirements needed to manage the billing function effectively and efficiently for our customers are within scope and delivered as part of the project.Research existing billing platforms with a view to comparing in-house development versus implementing an external billing platform.Other productsWork with the Revenue Assurance Operations Manager to improve billing process efficiencies across all our products.Candidate Skills and ExperienceEnergy industry experience would be a distinct advantage.Be resourceful and proactive. We are looking for a self-starter who enjoys having accountability and ownership while being part of a collaborative team.Initiative.
