Senior Fibre Design QC

We are currently recruiting a Senior Fibre Designer Quality Control (QC) for our expanding team in the UK. The candidate will be joining an experienced team of talented individuals with expertise across multiple engineering disciplines.Reporting toFibre Design MangerRole and ResponsibilitiesThe key responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:Join a team of talented fibre plannersImplement & drive quality control processesEnsure quality of deliverables are of the highest levelResponsible for QC KPIs on submitted deliverablesLiaise with the Senior Fibre Planners & Fibre Design Manager on new processes and best approachesInvolved with the production of deliverables by the fibre design teams across the areas of;o Designs – Prelim LLD Pack & LLD Packo SLD'so Splicing Scheduleso Civils and Cables layout mapso BOMs & BOQso H&S Best PracticeAssess desktop HLD's and survey reports for optimum solutions based on client guidelines and experience.Liaise with Fibre Technical Manager for capacity planningEnsure project scope and guidelines are implemented consistentlyMentor and develop junior fibre plannersAs part of a team, ensure client satisfaction at all stagesExperience and QualificationsEngineering degree with 5+ years post graduate experience in FTTX Network Planning experience is essentialExcellent computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office applications Experience with network design packages (QGIS, ArcGIS, MapInfo, AutoCAD, etc)GIS experience desirableTeam lead role is desirable but not essentialAnalytical, detail oriented, high level of flexibility with willingness to learn/developStrong administration/documentation backgroundExcellent time management and organisational skillsAbility to multi-task in a structure formatStrong interpersonal skills in both oral and written communicationExcellent written and spoken English required
