Our ethos is rooted in honouring the dignity of every person who comes through our doors.Bloomfield Hospital provides a spectrum of neuropsychiatric services to adults with a range of serious and enduring mental health needs such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Huntington’s Diseases, as well as individuals with early onset dementias, schizophrenia, and mood disorders. We are the only facility in Ireland that provides a high level of specialized care for people with Huntington’s disease.In Bloomfield Hospital there is a focus on creating a therapeutic environment by using recovery-oriented clinical practices and therapeutic interventions, which are evidence-based to enable and support patients to achieve their highest level of functioning and quality of life. We value every team member and believe strongly in supporting employee wellbeing and the importance of a healthy work-life balance.             Person Specification:Qualifications:A recognised third-level degree or diploma (QQ1 level 8 equivalent), which is accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland.A recognised postgraduate professional qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, or an equivalent qualification validated by the Department of Health.Essential:At least five years of post-graduate experience in the area of professional psychology. Applicants must demonstrate that they have acquired, in appropriate health settings (i.e. Adult Mental Health/Psychiatry of Later Life), at least 60 days or equivalent supervised clinical placements as part of the professional qualification, or at least 60 days or equivalent post-qualification supervised work experience as a psychologist in adult mental health.Desirable:Post-qualification experience working within adult mental health/psychiatry of later life.Experience working within a mental health rehabilitation setting/framework.Training in cognitive-behavioural therapy, including CBT for psychosis.Training/expertise in at least one other therapeutic modality (e.g., family therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, schema therapy, emotion-focused therapy, compassion-focused therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy).Training in clinical supervision and experience of providing the same.Have good knowledge and experience of health, safety, and other statutory regulations affecting a healthcare organisation.Demonstrate good ‘people management’ experience and skills.Experience working in a hospital setting.Employee Benefits:Free onsite staff parkingSubsidized on-site restaurantContributory pensionComprehensive training programmesFurther education supportEmployee Wellbeing ProgrammesEmployee Assistance ProgrammeCycle to work schemeFor further information, please get in touch with a member of our HR Team at 01-4950021 or email hr@bloomfield.ie
