Due to ongoing expansion, we are inviting applications for an experienced, full-time RWC (Responsible Weld Coordinator) to join our team here in PRO Stainless.Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:Maintaining all documents and systems for EN1090 and be our ‘go-to’ weld expert who controls welding and inspection activities, as laid out in ISO 14731. Key tasks associated with this role include but are not limited to:Welding Process Expertise: Manage and coordinate a wide range of welding techniques and materials, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.Procedure Development: Write, review, and maintain weld procedures and specifications in accordance with EN1090, EN15614, ISO 14731 and ASME IX standards.· Maintenance of accurate weld logs, procedures and checklistsQualification & Certification: Oversee the creation and maintenance of Weld Procedure Qualification Records (WPQRs) and Welder Qualification Records (WQRs), ensuring all qualifications meet industry requirements for welding personnel, plant and consumables on relevant projectsMaterial & Certification Knowledge: Ensure thorough understanding of material specifications and the certification process to guarantee the integrity of welding operations.System Control & Maintenance: Take responsibility for the control and maintenance of the welding system, ensuring it meets the standards set by EN1090 and ISO 14731Quality Assurance: Work closely with relevant team members on the organising and carry out of non-destructive testing (NDT) processes to ensure the highest quality standards are consistently metProject handover discussions with relevant team membersAudit preparation for client and standards auditsLiaise on testing requirements and project specifics with various Project Managers and clientsPopulate TOPs logs and ensure TOPs are up to date prior to submissionPlan weld details with designers, supervisors, team leads and fabricators. Experience, knowledge and skills required:· Highly experienced welding knowledge· A formal RWC qualification is essential· CSWIP 3.1 Weld Inspector certification considered an advantage· Able to understand engineering and fabrication processes and information· An understanding of processes required to manufacture specific components· Minimum of 2 years RWC experience within a relevant industry - Pharma or Engineering industry an advantage· High levels of accuracy and attention to detail· Can work independently but also as part of a team willing to assist team members· A can do/pro-active approach· Ability to identify solutions to problems within a fast-moving manufacturing environment· Excellent communication and organisational skills· A creative thinker not afraid to suggest new ways of doing things· Computer literate with experience with Microsoft Office packages an advantage· Full clean driving license is essential as occasional client site visits are part of the role requirement.
