Annual registration(i) On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU. AND(ii) Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC). 3. Health Candidates for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service. 4. Character Candidates for and any person holding the office must be of good character. Desirable Criteria:  ·        Physiotherapy experience (including student placements) in one or more of the following specialities:- musculoskeletal/rheumatology- older person rehabilitation- neurorehabilitation- stroke- respiratory- pulmonary rehabilitation, oxygen clinic - neurodisability/prolonged disorders of consciousness- residential physiotherapy (older persons, intellectual disability) ·        Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills·        Proven ability to work effectively in a team·        Proven ability and commitment to work collaboratively with patients and carers in a person-centred framework·        Excellent planning and organisation skills, with ability to adapt to change·        Demonstrate recent evidence of formal clinical continuing professional development ·        Demonstrate experience in service development/quality improvement/clinical audit  Principal Duties and Responsibilities  The Physiotherapist, (Staff Grade) will: Professional / ClinicalCarry a clinical caseload appropriate to the post.Be responsible for client assessment, development and implementation of individualised treatment plans that are client centred and in line with best practice.Be responsible for goal setting in partnership with the client, family and other team members as appropriate.Communicate and work in co-operation with other team members.Develop effective communication with and provide instruction, guidance and support to service users, family, carers etc.Document client records in accordance with professional standards and departmental policies.Provide a service in varied locations in line with local policy / guidelines and within appropriate time allocation (e.g. clinic, home visits).Participate in review meetings, case conferences, ward rounds etc. as appropriate.Maintain quality standards of work and co-operate with quality assurance programmes.Seek the advice of relevant personnel when appropriate / as required.·        Maintain professional standards in relation to confidentiality, ethics and legislation.·        Operate within own scope of Physiotherapy practice as per CORU requirements and in accordance with local guidelines.Education & TrainingParticipate in mandatory training programmes.Take responsibility for, and keep up to date with Physiotherapy practice by participating in continuing professional development such as reflective practice, in service, self-directed learning, research, clinical audit etc.Engage in performance review processes including personal development planning.Participate in the practice education of student therapists. Dublin.TenureThe Current Vacancies available are Permanent and Temporary Rotational Basic Grade Physiotherapist. The post is pensionable. A panel may be created from which permanent and temporary Basic Grade Physiotherapist vacancies of full or part time duration may be filled. The tenure of these posts will be indicated at “expression of interest’ stage. Appointment as an employee of Peamount Healthcare is governed by the Health Act 2004 and the Public Service Management (Recruitment and Appointment) Act 2004. RemunerationRemuneration is in accordance with the salary scale approved by the Department of Health: Current salary scale with effect from 1st October 2023 ranging from Point 1 €41,075 to Point 14 €59,360 LSIWorking WeekThe hours allocated to this post are 35 hours per week with 7 hours as a standard working day. The allocation of these hours will be at the discretion of the Department Head and in accordance with the needs of the service. HSE Circular 003-2009 “Matching Working Patterns to Service Needs (Extended Working Day/Week Arrangements); Framework for Implementation of Clause 30.4 of Towards 2016” applies.
