At the Clanree Hotel we are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager. Responsible for the operation of the Restaurant and banqueting functions, ensuring all guests receive the highest possible standards of customer service, reflecting the Clanree Hotel Standards. To endeavor to maximize profits and reduce costs where possible. To ensure all Hygiene and Health and Safety standards are maintained.To arrange bookings, table plans, and allocate work to team members.To direct and supervise the activities of the Restaurant and of functions, ensuring all guests receive high standards of service and that their needs/requirements are met.To be fully aware of hotel facilities, activities, budgets, and targets. This is to include revenue, covers and average spend.To have a thorough knowledge of all Restaurant menus and beverages available. This is to include the ingredients, preparation, and service of all items.To greet customers, take orders and give advice, when required, to guests regarding dishes and accompaniments, together with wines and beverages available.To ensure that all guests are served efficiently and in a friendly manner, in accordance with their requirements. This is to include communicating with guests during their meal to ensure we are fulfilling their needs and their meal is to their satisfaction.To ensure all restaurant charges are raised for food and beverages consumed, in accordance with cash handling procedures.To ensure the restaurant and working areas are always kept thoroughly clean and tidy.Follow rigidly and observe all hygiene regulations.To check and ensure room service trays are delivered efficiently and in accordance with Clanree Hotel Standards.To endeavor to always improve Restaurant/function service.Responsible for Recruitment and Selection of staff for the department in conjunction with the General Manager and Personnel.To plan and deliver, where applicable, recorded training for new and existing team members and to ensure that all staff are competent to carry out their duties.To be fully aware of and adhere to security procedures, including security of cash, keys, equipment, and property.To communicate effectively with other departments within the Hotel, including attending Head of Department meetings.To react to changes in business levels to ensure department costs and expenses are controlled.To lead and motivate all members of the Restaurant team to encourage and obtain maximum commitment.To be fully aware of and adhere to liquor licensing laws.To take advantage of every opportunity to upsell the business.To consistently deliver the Clanree Hotel Hospitality Promise, and deliver superior customer service.To deal with any customer complaints in a professional manner and to notify management of same.To ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and to co-operate with the Hotel grooming policy.Only those who meet the criteria and have previous hospitality Management/Supervisory experience will be contacted for interview.
