The right candidate for this role will strive to enhance the lives of the individuals by promoting their community inclusion and equal citizenship. The Package ·      Out of hours on call service provided by a dedicated-on call team·          Flexibility on working hours·          Competitive starting salary·          Access to Cycle to Work Scheme and tax-free bus/Luas/rail/coach tickets·          Access to Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)·          Promotion and development opportunities·          Support for further education and training·          Uniform provided·          Pension scheme (PRSA)·          Refer a friend bonus·          Discounted driving lessons Purpose of role:•            To ensure that all care practices comply with relevant childcare legislation, National Standards for Children’s Residential Centres, and best practice.•            To manage the home so as to meet as far as possible the expressed needs of the individual young person, and to promote positive outcomes for them.•            To ensure that individual care plans are developed, implemented, and monitored in accordance with agreed standards.•            To attend and contribute to planning meetings, statutory reviews, management team meetings and other meetings as required, representing the Home in a positive fashion and where necessary, acting as an advocate for the child and their family.•            To ensure monthly summary reports/weekly reports on Children’s placements are provided to the Social Worker and other relevant parties.•            To organize and manage staff on a day-to-day basis in order to maintain 24 hours staff cover and•            To provide professional supervision to staff and participate in staff appraisal in accordance with Barróg Healthcare policies and procedures.•            Provide support for the day and night staff teams, the manager will be expected to work a variety of different shifts of differing lengths as set out in work rosters – including participation in the out of hours on-call service.•            Carry out administrative and financial procedures in accordance with the policies and procedures of Barróg Healthcare. Eligibility Criteria Qualifications and /Experience.A Level 7/8 qualification in Social Care.And:    A minimum of 5 years' experience working at least at a Social Care Grade in a children's residential centreAnd:     A management qualification suitable for health or social care settingAnd: plan to upskill to a level 8 qualification if not yet obtainedAnd:    Permission to work in the Republic of IrelandThe following will be seen as an advantage:And:    An understanding of the requirements for registration under HIQA National StandardsAnd:     A minimum of 1 years’ experience of managing a teamAnd:    The requisite knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the roleAnd:     Candidates must have a suitable standard of professional attainments.And:     Have proficient ICT skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Packages - Excel               and Word and be familiar with an email package e.g. Outlook.And:    Full Clean Driver’s LicenceAll roles subject to Garda Vetting, overseas security clearance and reference checks.
