REGULATORY CASE OFFICER  Horseracing in Ireland is a €2.5 billion industry that supports more than 30,000 jobs. The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board (IHRB) is the Regulatory Body for Irish horseracing, responsible for assuring public trust in horseracing and safeguarding its reputation through robust and transparent regulatory practices, implemented with uncompromising integrity by a focused and professional team. Our new Statement of Strategy 2024 - 2027 includes a commitment to excellence through agility and continuous improvement and to enhanced transparency. A new opportunity now exists for a Regulatory Case Officer for a permanent position in the Racing Regulation & Integrity Unit. The position is full time office based at the Offices of the IHRB in County Kildare.  JOB PURPOSE The Regulatory Case Officer will provide flexible and responsive support to the Head of Racing Regulation & Integrity, across a full spectrum of regulatory case work, as well as undertaking procedural and hearing related duties as required, with the agility to adapt to constant changing priorities and emerging integrity risks. This is primarily a support and coordination role, focused on case administration, document preparation and reliable assistance in a fastmoving regulatory environment. The role is suited to a keen, hardworking and trustworthy individual, who takes pride in accuracy, discretion and being a dependable part of the team.KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:Provide administrative and legal support to the Head of the Unit with case preparation, document collation and file management.Draft, review, and proofread legal and regulatory documents, reports and correspondence.Provide structured legal support for disciplinary and investigatory casework, including evidence collation, hearing preparation, and outcome documentation.Manage and organise case files, legal records, and compliance obligations, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.   Scheduling requirements for casework and regulatory hearings.  Conduct legal research on relevant legislation, regulations, precedents, and case law. ·        Draft reports and notices for publication on the IHRB website and other platforms.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders professionally, maintaining clear communication.Support key regulatory projects, including the ongoing Rulebook. Prepare and draft format reports, presentations, and briefing documents aligned with the IHRB’s strategy and strategic pillars.Handle confidential and sensitive information with absolute discretion.THE PERSONThe successful candidate will be a motivated. reliable and proactive individual with a strong work ethic. To be considered for this position you will need to be a clear communicator with excellent interpersonal skill, have meticulous attention to detail and be able to work under pressure and as part of a dynamic organisation.
