As a member of the Senior Management team, the Operations Manager is responsible for providing operational leadership in order to manage, review and develop services aligned to the organizations objectives in compliance with national policy and legislation relevant to the intellectual disability sector. Responsibilities includeProvide line management to support services, i.e. Accommodation, Administration, Catering, Transport and Maintenance, Health and Safety, Procurement, ICT.Working with the HR department to ensure that effective HR services and KPIs are achieved within the region.Ensure effective finance and accounts for the region by liaising with the Finance Officer.Responsible for regions Procurement Processes and Compliance in line with Public Sector regulations.Manage application of GDPR and FOI requirements within the service.Liaise with HSE, and other external agencies, e.g. HIQA, HSA etc.Complaints Management.Co-ordinate the development of Regions Risk Management Strategy.Management of projects to support the region systems and infrastructure.Manage and develop the regions facilities/properties including lease agreements.Management of the regions external contractors.RequirementsA relevant 3rd Level Qualification.Strong financial awareness to manage and develop the service budget.The ability to sustain the highest quality of service level delivery, demonstrate sound judgement, prioritise and balance work tasks in relation to the operational objectives of the organisation.Strong awareness of Employment, Health Act and Health & Safety legislation.Good awareness of Person Centred Planning as driver for organisations strategy.Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.Be able to work as part of a team and to work on multiple projects simultaneously.Have strong self-management, organisational and administration skills with high attention to detail.Full clean drivers’ licence.Previous experience of working in an area of disability would be an advantage.If you believe you have the necessary enthusiasm, competencies and experience to bring to this role please submit your application with your Curriculum Vitae, including written explanation for any gaps in employment.Closing date for Applications is 11th August 2023Informal enquires to claire.odwyer@sjog.ie Applicants will be shortlisted based on the information supplied in their application.A panel may be formed from this campaign from which further vacancies which may arise during the lifetime of the panel will be filled.
