The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the provision of effective Facilities Management programmes to meet the needs of CareChoice 7 homes in the Munster Region.General Responsibilities: Management of all facilities' maintenance programs across the Munster region. Management of all regional subcontractors' Planned Preventative Maintenance Service Level Agreements, Upkeep of Nursing Homes Property Asset Equipment Register. Oversee Management of all Regional Homes's reactive maintenance tasks. Assist & Support Directors of Nursing in the management & procurement of ad-hoc contractors. Support the Director of Nursing Management Teams in creating Risk Assessments / Method Statements / Permits to work for planned and non-routine works as needed. Assist & Support Directors of Nursing during regulatory visits providing necessary Property Management, Quality & EHS Data. Management of in-house facility maintenance teams, ensuring holiday & sickness coverage throughout the region Support in the management of in-house maintenance, catering, laundry & housekeeping teams. Ensuring quality & safety compliance standards are met in the areas of fire safety, building services management, storage & space management, medical & non-medical equipment maintenance, waste & environmental management, catering, laundry & housekeeping. Infection control requirements to be maintained throughout in order to sustain safe, continuous, and efficient operations. Providing monthly & quarterly reports/audits to Group Management in relation to Facility & Health Safety matters. Develop a close working relationship with key stakeholders, partners, and vendors. Project Management of Various CAPEX Asset Renewal / Improvement Projects. Ensuring contractor's scope of works and budget agreements are met, Health & Safety & Building Regulations are adhered to, Ensure budgetary compliance for both Opex & Capex Facility budgets, Updating relevant financial PPM & Reactive maintenance allocations. Plan & assist with short and medium-term asset renewal and life cycle replacements. Assist with the implementation of Group ESG Policy, ensuring effective management of energy usage & waste management controls Responsible for ensuring all Group Asset Equipment, and Property Safety Policies are met at the regional level, assisting with the revision and implementation of current policies and procedures. Qualifications/ SkillsEngineering/Technical degree qualificationA relevant qualification aligned to Facilities Management, and a demonstrable record of continuous personal development within the industry.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in building service management /facilities management.Dealing with the implementation of systems and service strategies within new and existing developments.Excellent awareness and quality management of Health & Safety.MS Office Suite skills, particularly MS Excel, SharePoint and CAFM Software programs.Risk Assessments Experience – drafting RA’s and training other staff how to draft risk assessmentsProject Management KnowledgeThis role will involve travel between all CareChoice homes in the Cork and Waterford regions..
