The department provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic procedures delivered in state of the art facilities by a team of experienced professionals committed to excellence in clinical standards and patient care. Role Purpose:Excellent opportunity for an ambitious, experienced and qualified Radiographer who has a passion for motivating people and is looking to progress in their career specifically within the area of Women’s Health. Qualifications/Experience:BSc. in Radiography MSc. in Ultrasound or 7+ years’ experience as a Sonographer CORU registration Key responsibilities: Be a team player who motivates, supports and engages fellow colleagues in delivering clinical excellence and personal care.Undertake, when necessary, administrative tasks to facilitate the smooth running of the department.Undertake diagnostic examinations where required.In conjunction with the Clinical Specialist Radiographer, establish and maintain operational protocols for all diagnostic procedures.Maintain and manage employee attendance records on the Hospital’s Time Management System.Be responsible for departmental rosters and approve annual leave requests.Participate and lead clinical audits in order to identify areas for improvement.Support the Radiology Services Manager with new initiatives that are aimed at delivering the highest standards of patient care while adopting a cost conscious approach.Deliver and promote the highest standards of patient care in an environment of high patient throughput.Lead and manage the Diagnostic Imaging Department in the absence of the Radiology Service Manager.Regularly update your knowledge of new developments and promote awareness of these amongst colleagues.Communicate appropriately with colleagues and other members of the healthcare team.Communicate in a manner that avoids antagonism, reduces conflict and prevents undue anxiety.Recognise limitations and seek assistance where necessary.Accept constructive advice when appropriate.Adhere to Human Resource policies as set out in The Blackrock Clinic Employee Manual.Cooperate and take part in the Blackrock Clinic Mission Statement in dealing with patients and clinic staff members.Comply with policies and procedures at Blackrock Clinic as regards Health & Safety, Accident and Incident Reporting, Complaints Procedure, Fire Policy and Evacuation.Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all patients and activities of Blackrock Clinic.Present a professional appearance and conform to the dress, hygiene and infection control policies of the clinic.Why work at the Blackrock Clinic?At the Blackrock Clinic, we are passionate about our people and believe in their development and growth.
