This is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals who want to play a key role in delivering complex mechanical engineering projects.Duties and Responsibilities:Collaborate with the estimation team to review mechanical cost estimates and support accurate quantity take-offs and BOQs.Monitor and control project costs, including variations, change orders, and payments, while identifying and reporting commercial risks.Conduct value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities across mechanical scopes.Review mechanical drawings and specifications for changes, and carry out site visits to verify progress and resolve discrepancies.Evaluate subcontractor claims, assist with payment applications, and support preparation of final accounts.Manage contracts, ensuring compliance with key terms, and manage change orders, claims, and dispute resolution.Track labour resources and productivity for mechanical works, analysing trends and recommending improvements.Prepare and present regular cost reports, forecasts, and documentation for stakeholders, maintaining accurate records throughout.Essential Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:A relevant 3rd level qualification in Quantity Surveying, or a QS with mechanical engineering qualifications/experience.Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience within the construction sector, with a strong focus on mechanical services.Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills, with a results-driven approach.Previous experience working with a Mechanical Contractor is highly desirable.Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), with the ability to produce detailed cost reports and financial projections.Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to professional development.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic project environment.Why Join Rockwell?At Rockwell, we value innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.
