We are a professional, multi-disciplinary organisation, operating in a dynamic telecommunications environment that is constantly evolving. Our Mission - at the heart of everything we do - is to facilitate the development of a competitive communications sector in Ireland that attracts investment, encourages innovation and empowers consumers to choose and use communications services with confidence.Division Overview:We are looking for a proactive, highly-motivated individual with excellent written and verbal skills to join our Public Affairs team. Reporting to the Communications Manager, Public Affairs, the Communications and Public Affairs Executive plays a key role in identifying and communicating key messages, statements and decisions to the media and to the public. It is pivotal in terms of developing effective working relationships with ComReg's key stakeholders and as well as leading the development and maintenance of ComReg's Digital Strategy including website and social media presence. ResponsibilitiesHandling of press and media queries in cooperation with the Communications Manager Managing ComReg's websites and services in cooperation with the Information Technology Manager – this includes creating content, managing network of internal content creators, uploading of regulatory documents and providing training and upskilling as required. Liaise with ComReg's website partners and contribute to defining new and ongoing website development requirements. Responsible for defining SEO reporting using Google Analytics in conjunction with Com Reg's Website partners. A high level of fluency in the Irish Language to assist with ComReg’s commitments to the Irish Language.  Implementing the official languages act with respect to Com Reg's obligations under the act and managing and implementing ComReg’s Irish Language Scheme. This also includes responsibility for the generation and updating of Irish language content on Com Reg's website and the approval of content in ComReg's publications. Management and implementation of Com Reg's Digital Media Strategy. Managing Com Reg's social media strategy including Twitter and LinkedIn account management and front line interface. Monitoring social media for mentions of ComReg and information relevant to the organisation and wider telecommunications sector and preparing reports.  Assisting with the drafting and collating of key documents from the Public Affairs office such as Com Reg's Consumer Charter and the Annual Report. Acting ComReg Accessibility Officer with responsibility for implementing the Disability Act with respect to ComReg’s obligations under the Act. This includes providing Disability Awareness training to all staff. General communications and administrative duties as required, including monitoring several inboxes, media purchases, notice publications and maintenance of the Com Reg contact database. Delivering and maintaining an internal communications framework that provides clear, informative and engaging 2-way communication across the organisation making full use of all IT available to the organisation. Highlight key issues arising in press and other media and managing media monitoring service provider. Qualifications and Experience required  Essential  Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field. Proven experience in a communications / Media relations role Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with strong attention to detail. Strong digital skills (previous experience of monitoring, updating and creating content for social media accounts, as well as analysing results). Excellent understanding of the Irish media and political / policymaking landscapes  A high level of fluency in the Irish Language  Proven track record of delivering to tight deadlines  Desirable  Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field. An independent thinker, self-directed, taking personal responsibility for the delivery of objectives and overcoming challenges. Previous experience of the telecoms and communications sectors  Strong business acumen and solution-orientation mindset. Core Competencies & Skills for the Role   In addition to your technical qualifications and experience, you will bring professional competencies and skills in the following core areas: Analytical & Critical Thinking: Objectively analyses and evaluates information in order to identify patterns between situations that are not obviously related.
