This role is responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of property-related compliance across our housing stock, including statutory inspections, fire safety, health & safety, and landlord responsibilities. The postholder will ensure all homes are safe, compliant, and meet the standards expected of a high-performing housing provider. Key Responsibilities:In conjunction with the asset management team, lead on the development, implementation, and review of compliance frameworks related to property safety, including gas, electrical, fire, legionella, asbestos, and lift safety.Ensure all statutory inspections and servicing programmes are delivered on time and to the required standard.Set up, procure and manage specialist contractors and service providers to deliver statutory inspections and remedial works.Ensure contractor performance is monitored, reviewed, and aligned with KPIs, legal standards, and contract terms.Maintain and update property compliance data and certification across systems, always ensuring audit readiness.Liaise with contractors and consultants to ensure work is undertaken to compliant standards and escalate issues as needed.Support the wider assets and repairs teams with expert compliance advice and guidance.Monitor regulatory developments and ensure internal policies and procedures remain aligned.Provide regular compliance reporting and performance dashboards to senior management and regulatory bodies.Contribute to the development of risk registers, business continuity planning and emergency response protocols.Engage positively with internal stakeholders, residents and regulatory authorities where necessary. Essential Skills & Experience:Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar property compliance or asset management role.In-depth knowledge of statutory compliance obligations relevant to housing (e.g., Fire Safety, H&S legislation, RTB obligations).Proven experience managing large-scale inspection and servicing programmes.Experience in the procurement and performance management of external contractors.Strong organisational and project management skills with attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
