Project Manager UK Fibre

Job Description We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager for our expanding FTTh team in the UK. The candidate will lead the project team and act as the primary client interface. The role is initially based in our Slough or Magor office and will involve travel to and from our client’s offices. They will be joining a very experienced team of talented individuals with expertise across a wide variety of engineering disciplines and proven success in delivering large scale projects. Reporting to UK Projects Director Role and Responsibilities The key responsibilities for the successful candidate will include: Ensure the project is delivered to best practice H&S standards Manage the delivery of the project from planning through to completion of detailed network designs Responsible for the P&L of the project and meeting project budgetary targets Ensure customers’ expectations are fulfilled & build confidence & trust Build & lead project team Manage project scope, budget & schedule Define resource requirements Working closely with the project director on key stages of the project and ad-hoc direction Implementing reportable project performance indicators to ensure the project remains viable Initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling and closing of the project Define & continually improve project processes Apply new technology in an innovative way to streamline delivery processes Develop new business opportunities Establish, refine & evolve project tracking & reporting tools Project reporting to Client, 4site Senior Management Team & 4site Project Team Drive program delivery from one phase to the next Manage partners / suppliers and review performance Competencies Excellent leadership skills to bring the best out of local and remote team members Client focused attitude & excellent customer facing skills Excellent communication, interpersonal, influencing & diplomacy skills Excellent written and verbal communication Self-motivated, assertive and enthusiastic Ability to prioritise tasks & work to tight deadlines Ability to work with a number of stakeholders simultaneously Team player Professional, positive & organised problem-solving approach Management of partners Industry & market insight Excellent Microsoft office suite skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint Qualifications Proven industry experience or 3rd Level degree with focus on engineering / telecoms Evidence of on-going professional development PMP or Prince 2 or Project Management P.G Dip or Masters an advantage A broad knowledge and understanding of the various network architectures, emerging technologies and passive/active infrastructure as part of a FTTh network rollout Experience 10 to 15 years in a similar customer facing role during FTTh network rollouts Excellent knowledge of FTTh Network Design, Consenting, Wayleaving & Build phases Excellent written and spoken English required Full clean driving licence Salary:Negotiable
