Job DescriptionWe are currently recruiting for a Project Manager for our expanding FTTh team in the UK. The candidate will lead the project team and act as the primary client interface. The role is initially based in our Slough or Magor office and will involve travel to and from our client’s offices. They will be joining a very experienced team of talented individuals with expertise across a wide variety of engineering disciplines and proven success in delivering large scale projects.Reporting toUK Projects DirectorRole and ResponsibilitiesThe key responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:Ensure the project is delivered to best practice H&S standardsManage the delivery of the project from planning through to completion of detailed network designsResponsible for the P&L of the project and meeting project budgetary targetsEnsure customers’ expectations are fulfilled & build confidence & trustBuild & lead project teamManage project scope, budget & scheduleDefine resource requirementsWorking closely with the project director on key stages of the project and ad-hoc directionImplementing reportable project performance indicators to ensure the project remains viableInitiation, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling and closing of the projectDefine & continually improve project processes Apply new technology in an innovative way to streamline delivery processes Develop new business opportunitiesEstablish, refine & evolve project tracking & reporting tools Project reporting to Client, 4site Senior Management Team & 4site Project TeamDrive program delivery from one phase to the nextManage partners / suppliers and review performanceCompetenciesExcellent leadership skills to bring the best out of local and remote team membersClient focused attitude & excellent customer facing skillsExcellent communication, interpersonal, influencing & diplomacy skillsExcellent written and verbal communicationSelf-motivated, assertive and enthusiasticAbility to prioritise tasks & work to tight deadlinesAbility to work with a number of stakeholders simultaneouslyTeam playerProfessional, positive & organised problem-solving approachManagement of partnersIndustry & market insightExcellent Microsoft office suite skills – Excel, Word, PowerPointQualificationsProven industry experience or 3rd Level degree with focus on engineering / telecomsEvidence of on-going professional developmentPMP or Prince 2 or Project Management P.G Dip or Masters an advantageA broad knowledge and understanding of the various network architectures, emerging technologies and passive/active infrastructure as part of a FTTh network rolloutExperience10 to 15 years in a similar customer facing role during FTTh network rolloutsExcellent knowledge of FTTh Network Design, Consenting, Wayleaving & Build phasesExcellent written and spoken English requiredFull clean driving licence
