For more information, visit www.dpsgroupglobal.com.About this OpportunityThe Project Controls Lead will lead a Project Controls Team at DPS Cork. He/she will carry out all cost control functions as a lead on various projects during the design, procurement, construction and C&Q phases. The Project Control Lead will continuously monitor variances from the cost and schedule baseline and will take effective corrective action to achieve minimum cost and time overruns. He/she will ensure that procedures are applied to monitor expenditures and performance against the progress of a project. All changes to the cost and schedule baseline need to be recorded and the expected final outcomes are continuously forecasted. The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of their teams’ deliverables within an agreed schedule, within an agreed set of hours and to an acceptable quality.Summary Responsibilities:Assist in establishing the contract price budget and submit monthly cost reportsProvide all necessary information requested to manage projects in relation to the cost and estimateEstablish rules and methodology according to with the client requirements on cost reporting and forecastingEffectively support the finalization of estimates into the contract price budgetManage key communications with key stakeholders across the duration of projects and take the lead on strategic cost control efforts within a project acting as the cost control SME when requiredLead Cost Control efficiency initiatives within the department and on client projectsAlthough the role is primarily office-based some site-based work will be required. Occasional in-country and overseas travel may also be necessary for short periodsOther reasonable work as requested by the Operations Director CorkCandidate RequirementsCandidates should have a third level qualification in the relevant discipline and typically 10+ years’ procurement/cost controls experienceIdeally a member of the Society Of Chartered Surveyors Ireland or an equivalent body.Experience working in a multi-disciplinary design office or equivalent client engineering teamExperience managing a team of personnel in a similar environmentKnowledge of auditing, budgeting, estimating, and forecastingKnowledge of lean working practicesAbility to work in a in fast-paced working environment and meet deadlinesExcellent interpersonal, organisational, multitasking and communication skillsStrong presentation skills • Self-starter capable of working on own with minimal supervision and capable of supervising direct reportsStrong attention to detail and reporting skillsComputer literate
