Project Accountant

We are currently recruiting for Project Accountant for our expanding team in Ireland. The candidate will work within and form a key part of our finance team, based in our Limerick office and will be a key link between the finance & PMO Project teams. They will be joining a very experienced team of talented individuals with expertise across a wide variety of disciplines and proven success in delivering large scale projects.Reporting toCFORole and ResponsibilitiesThe key responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:Track project delivery against project scopeGenerate and distribute weekly profitability reportsProvide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability of services.Project profit margins for upcoming quarters and analyse trends of highs and lowsMeet weekly/monthly with each assigned Project Manager to review projects, review forecasts, alert PM and SMT to any risks to meeting forecastReview revenue and reconcile against forecastProvide consistent updates to the CFO and Project Manager in relation to revenue, risks, or non-standard agreementsAnalyse any changes in services provided in order to determine what effect it has on the costAnalyse, recommend & implement cost savings initiatives.Review & determine trends on monthly time sheets, along with the PMO team.Analyse the Project P&L accounts monthly Prepare project related balance sheet account reconciliations, as directed by CFO.Recommend and implement agreed process improvements to the revenue cyclePerform additional assignments, as directed by the CFO/SMT.CompetenciesAdvanced Microsoft office suite skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, VisioExcellent communication, interpersonal & diplomacy skillsStrong written and verbal communicationSelf-motivated, assertive and enthusiasticAbility to prioritise tasks & work to tight deadlinesAbility to work with a number of stakeholders simultaneouslyTeam playerProfessional, positive & organised problem-solving approachClient focused attitude with excellent attention to detailAbility to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion.Knowledge of the project structure in a client/consultant business environment.Experience and QualificationsAdvantageouso CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified accountanto 2 to 3 Years in a similar roleo Very strong technical skills in accountingo Qualifications with focus on management, engineering or businesso Microsoft Office Suite Certificationso Process mapping and implementation experienceo Strong systems adaption skillso Project reporting & tracking – Internal & externalo Knowledge of Sage Software or other accounting platform, a plus.Necessaryo Excellent written and spoken English requiredo Full clean driving licence
