We’re looking for a Production and Raw Materials Planning Manager to lead our planning function at our Thirsk Site.🛠 The Role – Production and Raw Materials Planning ManagerAs the Production and Raw Materials Planning Manager, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for translating customer and business needs into accurate production schedules, raw material orders, and resource plans. You'll ensure we meet demand while optimising stock, cost, and operational efficiency.📋 ResponsibilitiesPlanning Leadership• Convert sales forecasts into effective production, material, procurement, and labour plans• Lead, coach, and develop the planning team to achieve high performance and engagement• Maintain a safe and supportive working environment across the teamCross-Functional Collaboration• Work closely with Commercial and Supply Chain teams to build accurate sales and delivery forecasts• Contribute to Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) forums and transport planning meetings• Liaise directly with customers and suppliers to support joint business planning where requiredBudgeting & Process Optimisation• Assist in the construction of budgets and manage spend across the function• Monitor material availability and inventory to ensure continuity of supply• Support service performance and cost efficiency through proactive planning✅ Knowledge, Skills and Experience• Broad knowledge of the supply chain gained through prior experience• Strong understanding of sales order processing and distribution planning• Proven success working with a wide range of suppliers and internal stakeholders• Skilled in inventory management and material availability• Experienced in managing budgets and customer service performance• Ability to lead and develop high-performing teams (training and development can be supported)🎁 The Offer – Production and Raw Materials Planning Manager Location: Thirsh, North Yorkshire (On-site)Salary: CompetitiveBonus: 15% annual company bonus schemeHours: 37.5 hours per week – Monday to FridayPension: Employee contributions 3% / Employer contribution 8% (salary sacrifice company pension scheme)Holidays: 25 days + Bank HolidaysMedicash PlanLife AssuranceEnhanced maternity/paternity/pawternityOther Benefits: Free parking, tasty treats, bring your dog to work, discounted products & free hot drinksFlexible Benefits: Cycle to work, workplace nurseries, dental insurance (offered through salary sacrifice or pay deductions)Staff Discount: Heavily discounted pet food for you and your furry friends🏢 CompanyIPN is an innovative, well-established, and award-winning pet food manufacturer, employing over 850 people across our UK manufacturing sites.
