Pro Shop Assistant

This is a full-time (39 hours per week) seasonal role, reporting to the Director of Golf  While this role does not require you to be a professional golfer, should a PGA Professional wish to apply for the role and be successful, the opportunity to teach will be possible. Duties will include:- Dealing with customers in the golf shop- Taking bookings over the phone/email- Opening / Closing of golf shop- Assist Golf Operations as required- Other duties associated with a busy golf club environment Role requirements include:- The need to work in a professional and friendly manner- The need to work as part of a team within golf and with other resort staff- Carrying out all duties in line with the standards, procedures and policies in place Person specification:- Must play golf and have a good understanding of competitions, formats, scoring, handicaps- Excellent computer skills- Ideally will have experience of working in a golf environment previously- Knowledge of BRS booking system and/or Handicapmaster an advantage but training will be provided The role will include weekend work. Candidate must enjoy working in the golf sector and be able to work weekends, early mornings and late evenings when required. The resort is a busy function and golf venue with high standards in customer care. Car and full license is preferable.
