You will be responsible for the providing customers, colleagues and other stakeholders with commercially aware, technically proficient and professional sustainability and Environment Social Governance (ESG) advice. You will also support the Consultancy Division by embedding sustainability within the Company’s wider environmental consultancy projects; and actively contribute towards the continued improvement of Adler & Allan’s internal ESG strategy and objectives. Experience a fun, can-do culture where your contributions matter. • Benefits Package: Competitive Salary, Bonus plus Company car, enhanced maternity & paternity leave and pay, private pension, internal referral scheme & learning and development funded courses.  Your Responsibilities: Delivery of a range of climate change, net-zero, sustainability and ESG related projects including:Net Zero Carbon Strategies and associated Science Based TargetsCarbon Reporting (GHG Protocol, SECR etc.)Environmental /Sustainability Gap AnalysisEnergy and transport auditing to ESOS and other standardsBuilding decarbonisation assessments (CRREM)Sustainability Strategies and PoliciesNon-Financial Disclosures to various standards (GRESB, TCFD, CDP, GRI)ESG Assessments to various standards, including working knowledge of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)Climate Adaptation / Resilience StrategiesHabitat Restoration / Nature-Based Solutions / Carbon SequestrationFurther Responsibilities:Project and budget managementLine management of small team of sustainability consultantsArrange site works (including site inspections and audits) in accordance with scope including communication with relevant parties.Proposal and tender bid writing, with support from commercial teamBusiness development, networking and marketing activitiesAble to multitask effectively by working across several projects and proposals simultaneouslyManage contractors, subconsultants and suppliers Maintain consistent high standards of health and safety, technical robustness, commercial awareness, quality and customer satisfaction on all projectsAssisting senior management in the development and training of less experienced team members.Support and build relationships with stakeholders across the Adler & Allan group.Identify and share commercial opportunities for the wider A&A group.Perform other duties as required by the consultancy division and other areas of the business in order to meet business needs.Qualifications and Skills: A degree in a STEM based BSc, related to sustainability/ESGProfessional membership desirableFour or more years experience gained within a similar position delivering ESG and sustainability projectsPrevious experience with a consultancy firm desirableExperience in carbon accounting (Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions) and reporting (across a range of protocols and regulatory regimes)Holistic understanding of Net Zero including carbon reduction actions, carbon offsetting, carbon sequestration etc.Energy and transport auditing experience, ideally to ESOS standardsUnderstanding of building decarbonisation strategies in line with recognised standards (CRREM)A demonstrated understating of ESG and sustainability reporting frameworks; and disclosure standards; for example, TCFD, CDP, WRI, SASB, GRI etc,Demonstrated experience in assessing and advising on, ESG risks and opportunitiesCommercial awareness and desire to contribute to and lead on business development activities, marketing, client presentations and proposal preparationProblem solving abilitiesSelf-starter, who can design and deliver work under own initiativeStrong delegation and management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA desire to deliver technical excellenceGood attention to detail, technical report writing ability and be able to assimilate information quicklySolid numeracy skills, confidence in working with and analysing large data setsConfident user of software such as Excel, Power BI, Powerpoint etc.Why Choose Adler and Allan: By becoming a part of the Adler and Allan Group, you’ll embark on a rewarding journey where we truly value your ideas and contributions.
