Job Title: Plumber PipefitterLocation: London (within M25)Salary: Competitive + BenefitsJob Type: Full-time permanentStart Date: ASAP upon successful completion of clearance documentation Company DescriptionBJF Group is a leading multi-discipline Main Contractor based across the UK, specialising in delivering high-quality construction projects across various sectors - priding ourselves of our reputation for excellence and attention to detail.Within our M&E division, the engineering team plays a crucial role in the day-to-day delivery of planned works across a diverse range of properties and systems within large Mechanical & Electrical contracts.If you have ambitions of playing a key part in driving our business forwards, then we want you to join us at an exciting time of development and growth to realise your full potential.PositionAs part of our continued growth, our Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) division are looking to appoint an experienced Plumber Pipefitter to use their working knowledge of mechanical systems to complete project works with responsibility for all aspects of the installation, maintenance, inspection, operation and repair of the plumbing and pipework systems typically within commercial, industrial and secure settings.Further responsibilities of the role include:Support the M&E division to deliver a varied portfolio of worksPlumbing & pipe work installation, testing & commissioningWork in accordance with method statements and safe systems of workReview & update point of works risk assessmentsCompliance with H&S and Environmental standards and policiesCompliance with company’s IMS system, policies and proceduresRespond to call outs as dictated by customers and project management teamsSite safety audits and tool box talksPreparation of bill of materials, raising materials requisitions and management of site materialsAssist estimating teams with the preparation of sale estimatesRequirementsQualifications/Experience:3-5 years’ experience domestic/commercial/industrial plumbing & pipework fitting and heating engineeringNVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & PipeworkG3 Unvented Competent Person CertificateWRAS -Water Industry Approved Plumbers' Scheme (WIAPS)CSCS Card HolderFull UK driving licenseWorking Knowledge:Proven track record of commercial plumbing, pipework. and heating engineeringAbility to read and clearly understand drawings and specificationsAbility to work with a degree of autonomy and meet deadlinesUnderstanding of Health & Safety and CDM regulationsUnderstanding of current standards and regulationsInterpretation of drawings, schedules and specificationsTesting, inspection and problem resolutionBasic report writingSupport project teams in the preparation of schedules and quotationsCollaboration with clients, sub-contractors and other tradesCandidates would be subject to security checks and any offer would be subject to successfully securing these clearances within the probationary period, including both Criminal Record Bureau Check (CRB) and Disclosure & Barring Service Check (DBS)
