Planning Manager

The Planning Manager will report to the Group Technical Director and will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all planning activities within the organisation. This role involves developing and implementing strategic plans, ensuring a consistent planning approach is deployed across our projects, and ensuring that our projects are monitored closely, and completed on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement comprehensive planning strategies across our key sectors of EP&R, Life Science, and Data CentresCoordinate with various departments to ensure alignment of planning activities.Monitor and analyse project progress, supporting the project planners and operational teams to make adjustments as necessary.Prepare and present regular reports on the planning activities and project status to senior management.Manage and allocate planning resources effectively to achieve project outcomes.Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.Lead and mentor a team of planners, providing guidance and support.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.Have experience of forensic planning, critical path analysis, concurrent delay, acceleration impact, as well as time protection studies. Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree in a construction related field or in Project Management.Proven experience as a Planning Manager or in a similar role.Strong knowledge of planning and project management principles.Excellent organisational and leadership skills.Fully Proficient in Primavera P6, ASTA Powerproject and MS Project, as well as other project management software and tools.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.In return from Suir Engineering: 23 days annual leave Company Pension contributions - no waiting periods Paid Maternity and Paternity Leave Private Health Insurance contribution Life and Disability cover  EAP for employees and their families Educational Assistance, CPD, Chartership supports and upskilling opportunities Opportunities for international assignments to work on one of our European projects in Sweden, Denmark, or Germany.  Our way of working is called the Suir Way, designed to help us on a journey of continuous improvement. Our people are empowered to make changes to ensure a quality install through effective ways of working. Our people have a voice and feel empowered. We have an in-built culture of innovation, learning and continuous improvement. Value is delivered every step of the journey. Our efficient processes deliver value. We have a standard, consistent and fully integrated health, safety, environment, and quality system within the business.  Suir Engineering are an equal opportunities employer, we value our greatest asset …. our People.   #LI-LN1
