Are you a Pipefitter looking for a change in your career?Rockwell are currently recruiting an experienced Pipefitters to join exciting mechanical engineering project in the Newbridge region, on a full-time basis.Duties and Responsibilities:Reading and interpreting drawings to select type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment, such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to job specifications.Observes and complies with all safety and project rules and all company policies and procedures & inspects worksite to determine presence of obstructions.Plans sequence on installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers.Proficient in all pipefitting tasks including – Measuring and Cutting pipe using hacksaw, pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch and pipe cutting machine to accurate dimensions Bends pipe by hand or with pipe-bending tools and machine.Mounts pipe hangers and brackets on walls and ceiling to secure pipe.Assembly and install of a variety of metal or nonmetal pipes and pipe fittings, using threaded caulked, soldering, brazen, fused, or cemented joints, and hand tools.Secures pipes to structure with bracket, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools.Tests piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges attached to pipes for indication of leaks.Welds pipe supports to structural steel members.Use of tools, including power tools, and equipment.Loads, transports, and unloads material, tools, equipment, and supplies.Maintaining and checking of own small tools and equipment.Work both inside and outside.Performs other duties as required.Essential Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Experience:Possess a craft qualification certificateExperience in a similar role within a mechanical contracting environmentCapability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multi-functional teamStrong communication and organizational skillsValid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificationOwn transport is also a necessity for this position.Why join Rockwell?We provide a competitive salary that reflects your experience and qualifications.
