Physiotherapy Healthcare Assistant

A vacancy has arisen within the Physiotherapy Department of the Galway Clinic for the permanent position of Physiotherapy Healthcare Assistant. The Role: The physiotherapy HCA will work under the direction and guidance of registered Physiotherapists to support the provision of Physiotherapy Services. Responsibilities:Assist the physiotherapist in the assessment of clients and the implementation of treatment interventions as directed by the physiotherapist.Carry out one to one interventions under the direction of the physiotherapist.Uses knowledge to prepare the client and the environment for treatment as directed by the physiotherapist.Organise and supervise therapeutic activities, with individual clients/groups as directed by the physiotherapist.Uses knowledge and training in the application of physiotherapeutic modalities as appropriate.Carry out administrative duties as outlined by the physiotherapy departmental policies and procedures.Aware of Health and Safety Principles when carrying out duties.Document intervention with the client as outlined by local policy. The Candidate: QQI Level 5 (5M3782) Physiotherapy Assistant (Health Service Skills) - major award Good communicator·        Team workerAbility to work independently as appropriateExperience in reception dutiesProficient in Microsoft packages including Word and ExcelClosing date for receipt of applications – Monday 27th November 2023 at 5.30pm Blackrock Health at The Galway Clinic is an Equal Opportunities Employer
