Pharmacy Technician – Part Time

At the Galway Clinic, the above role is available on a part time, temporary (12 months) basis, 14 hours per week.  The Role: ·       Provision of top-up services to wards, to include management of drug stock on hospital units, crediting returns and charging issues·       Unpacking and checking of deliveries, processing returns, liaising with counter assistant re: invoices, credit notes etc·       Compounding of chemotherapy, with strict adherence to good aseptic manufacturing practices·       Processing of outpatient prescriptions and over-the-counter sales in pharmacy outpatient dispensary ·       Placing orders with wholesalers and pharmaceutical companies ·       Increase in responsibility during periods of pharmacy technician leave   Candidate Requirements:·       Pharmaceutical technician diploma or equivalent·       Previous hospital experience, to include aseptic experience, 1-2 years desirable·       Excellent communication skills, ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team·       Flexibility in work practices·       Excellent organisational skills·       Ability to deal with highly confidential and sensitive information·       Demonstration of ongoing professional updating and development  Closing date for receipt of applications:  Wednesday 23rd April 2025 at 5pm  Blackrock Health Galway Clinic is an equal opportunities employer.
