As a JCI accredited hospital, Blackrock Clinic is a progressive and pioneering hospital in which care for the patient is central to everything we do.Job Title: Pharmacist Technician - Retail PharmacyJob Type: PermanentHours: 35 per week (Full-Time) Role PurposeThe purpose of this role is to assist in the sale of OTC products and in the running of the front of shop in Blackrock Clinic Retail Pharmacy, in accordance with the mission, values, vision and strategic plan of the hospital. Key Responsibilities: ·        Ensuring that we consistently deliver exceptional care to our Outpatients and staff.·        Assist in the front of shop to ensure operational standards of best practice are met and that initiatives are implemented.·        Communicate with the team on business performance and new initiatives.·        Partake in staff training events and encourage and support the development of the team, helping to empower those around you to do their best and to innovate in a fun and friendly atmosphere.·        Participate in continuing education consistent with the post.·        Advise customers on the safe use of medicines and pharmacy products under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist. ·        Assist the Pharmacist and report to the Pharmacy manager·        Provide excellent customer service in a friendly, empathetic and confidential manner·        Be responsible for Stock management, product analysis and merchandising in the front of shop to ensure it is attractive to the customer and increases margin for the business·        Ensure that the pharmacy is kept clean and tidy and well presented at all times.·        Till duties with the exception of cashing up·        Engage in and run promotions where appropriate.General Expectations:Be an enthusiastic, self- motivated individual with excellent people skills, confidence and demonstrate a willingness to learn.Demonstrate excellent communication skills and have the ability to be acutely aware of customer needs whilst being commercially astute.Have a key focus on patients and customers ensuring exemplary face to face interactions.Be a highly organised individual who has the ability to work under pressure.Be a positive, committed, reliable individual who enjoys working in a collaborative environment.Have the ability to build strong working relationships with all members of the pharmacy team whilst also being able to work on your own initiative Be able to prioritise, multi-task and show good organisational skills in a fast paced environmentBe punctual and well presented at all timesDemonstrate behaviour consistent with the values of the hospitalCreate, promote and maintain open communications and healthy working relationships with all staff members and colleagues Maintain the principles of equity, accountability and quality in the execution of your daily work.Qualifications/ Experience:·        Previous experience in a similar role in a Retail setting is preferable ·        Proficiency in the use of Touchstore software is preferable Flexibility:·        The post requires a high level of flexibility to ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient service.
