ROLE OVERVIEW:The PGA Teaching Professional will be a crucial role within the Druids Glen service model. The Teaching Professional will develop and execute group and individual tuition to the members and guests of the club. The Teaching Professional will be responsible for all tuition given on site and support with the development of the club team, daily standards and management of the coaching facility. · Generates knowledge and interest in the game of golf amongst stakeholders, educational institutions, sporting organizations and other concerned parties in line with the Clubs vision.· Implements departmental Standards and Operating Procedures for Golf Coaching· Operationally responsible for the management of the Coaching facility and personal lesson diary. KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: STRATEGY & PLANNING· Formulates clear personal and operational objectives that are fully aligned and supportive of the Clubs Vision and Mission.· Adheres to and champions the various strategies that specifically encourage Druids Glen members/their guests, junior golfers.· Effectively plan time management to ensure balance between quality for the client and profitability for the department. OPERATOINAL EXCELLENCE· Implement department specific policies and procedures with projects.· Attend training to reinforce departmental Policies and Procedures.· Assists with preparation of operational and capex budgets and forecasts for projects and shares expectations with team· Manages self and any non-PGA Qualified coaching staff to maximize productivity whilst retaining an optimum service level to the project.· Coordinate, implement and operate the Clubs coaching programs / services.· Recommends equipment and supplies to uphold expected standards.· Attends regular meetings with key reports to stay updated on performance.· Uses excellent communication skills with suppliers, stakeholders, senior management, owners, etc. through a wide variety of communication methods.· Works closely with the Golf Ops team to ensure goals are being achieved.· Recommend and implement departmental marketing initiatives.· Ensures proper health, safety and security standards are maintained in project· Follow all relevant sanitation, safety, quality and environmental control procedures and instructions so that personal safety and safety of others is not jeopardized and a certain minimum level of product/service quality and environmental impact can be guaranteed. REPORTING & MONITORING· Review and present coaching facility performance during monthly P&L meeting with Director of Club Operations.· Review monthly Training report. · Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance performance and quality of work in line with stakeholders and management expectation.· Implement best practice initiatives to promote consistent improvement and development with project· The Guest Satisfaction Survey can be used to show continuous improvement by reviewing the feedback provided by members and guests.· Financial performance comparison to budget monthly.· Member and guests coaching volume increase annually.· Accomplishment of milestones and targets detailed in business plan.· The job holder is expected to highly visible and accessible to the staff, maintaining the highest standards of business ethics and personal integrity. QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS · Industry qualification with a recognized Professional Golfers Association or similar body.· University or higher education qualification.· Expected coaching qualifications.· At least 5 years in golf instruction at recognized facilities.· Advanced level of golf professional accreditation preferred; AA status, TPI, CPD courses, etc.· Regional experience preferred. REQUIRED SKILLS· High level of communication skills.· Advanced knowledge of creating and implanting golf coaching programs.· Expert knowledge of the golf swing and coaching methods.· Commitment to continuous education; seminars, workshops, trade shows, etc.· Capability to represent the organization at an international level. · Essential computer skills. · Fluent in English.· Excellent people skills.· Detail orientated, organized, with an energetic, high work ethic. · Excellent communication skills and a professional mien. · Diplomatic with a high level of appreciation for organization of superior customer services.Druids Glen golf course has long been considered one of Ireland’s finest parkland courses.
