The successful PET-CT Clinical Specialist will play a lead role in delivering, developing, and maintaining our PET-CT services to the highest clinical, operational and safety standards.This role offers a full-time, permanent contract.Key Responsibilities:In conjunction with the PET/CT Clinical and Administrative staff, provide a safe & efficient PET/CT service, while adhering to all legislative regulations and company policies.Accountable for the quality of the service provided, including customer service & technical aspects.Developing and implementing operational policies, protocols & guidelines.Contribute to the preparation of plans of service – monitor and report on their implementation. Implement and maintain accurate information systems for clinical data in accordance with Company and hospital standards.Ensure the Unit Manager and Regional Manager is provided with accurate records of equipment service, maintenance, malfunction, downtime and performance. Maintain up to date knowledge of clinical, technical and radiographic developments in relation to the PET/CT department and promote awareness of new developments. Support the Unit Manager in the implementation of initiatives aimed at on-going service development and improvement. Provide professional support & advice to patients, radiographers, radiologists, medical staff, nurses & other allied health professionals.Promote & maintain a safe environment for staff and patients. Assist in the development and implementation of risk management and health and safety strategies in association with the Quality Department. Develop and maintain a training function as may be required in relation to qualified staff and/or trainees.
