The PIC will hold responsibility for facilitating people to realise their personal vision and aspirations and for leading out a team approach that promotes a culture built upon the core values of respect, dignity and inclusiveness.The PIC’s role is to lead and be responsible for a service, which includes the following: Ensuring a person-centred approach to service delivery based on the priorities for each individualEnsuring each person supported receives a high quality, safe service, based on each person’s assessed needsDeveloping and building relationships with services users, families, advocates and the wider communityMaintaining registration with HIQAThe management, supervision, coaching and development of the staff teamThe implementation of policies and proceduresBudget managementDay to day management of health and safety within the servicesCandidate RequirementsKnowledge of HIQA requirements essentialProven experience of working with people on the Autistic spectrum is desirable Resilience in working in the communityExcellent communications skillsAbility to work on own initiativeCreative in problem solvingHighly motivatedSuccessful candidate will have experience in the area of facilitating and supporting people who have high and/or complex needsA genuine understanding and interest in working alongside people in effecting positive opportunities and change in their lives in a meaningful wayThe ability to listen, to see and respectfully advocate for and on behalf of the individual with regard to their needs, preferences, rights and dreamsHave excellent communication skills and a clear understanding of team work with motivation to deliver high quality facilitation, working alongside individuals, their families and other disciplinesA strong belief in people’s rights, inclusion and equalityQualification Details·        A minimum level 7 degree qualification in Social Care, or equivalent-please note your qualification must be eligible for CORU registration once this process commences·        Relevant management qualification and a minimum of 3 years managerial or supervisory experience in the social care sector is requiredOther duties involved - (duties included but are not limited to the following)Contribute to and participate in the local service planning process and the creative development and ongoing changing needs of the service.Provide personal care and support to service users where requiredEnsure a safe place of work, incorporating Western Care Association’s Dignity at Work Policy and Health & Safety requirement.To promote safety in all environments, in line with the Association’s practices. Use positive approaches to support people who may have challenging behaviour in line with Organisational practice.
