Our new sub-acute facility at Malahide Road is a testament to our dedication to innovation, quality care, and professional growth.We are currently recruiting for a pert time maintenance person in our Malahide Road Nursing home.Main responsibilities:Working with the Daily maintenance record book for action list on minor repairs and paint jobsLiaising with maintenance personnel to ensure all issues are dealt with promptly and by trained personnel. Redirect any issue that is outside scopeMay be required to travel to other nursing homes to provide assistance where requiredExpected to respond to emergency call-outPlanting of the flowerbeds and maintenance of flowers, shrubs, trees, and the garden furnitureCleaning of the grounds involving cutting the lawns, hedges, and shrubsGeneral maintenance and upkeep to include the responsibility of the boiler house, generator, septic tank, rodent controlMonitoring the heating system to ensure total efficiency in energy conservationMonitoring of the water system including temperature checks with particular emphasis on ‘Legionella disease’Checking Resident monitoring system ( call bell), hoists and other moving and handling equipmentChecking ordering and service dates for all equipment to include oxygen cylindersMoving of equipment and furniture as directedManaging storage and own use of cleaning and other productsCollection and correct disposable of domestic, ‘sharps’ and clinical wasteCleaning of bins both internally and externallyConducting a weekly check of fire equipment and weekly fire drillConducting fire induction for new employeesAssisting with mortuary duty as directed by managementCarpentry skillsHealth and Safety AwarenessAdherence to precautions identified in the infection control policyAttending to any spillages to avoid any accidentAssisting in the disposal of clinical waste in line with the Nursing home policyApplication of ‘Manual Handling’ Techniques as trainedCompliance with fire safety regulationsCompliance with the Safety statementEnsuring the work area is a safe environment for residents and visitorsFamiliar with the Health and safety at work Act 2005Compliance with H.A.C.C.P guidelines and all ‘Food Safety’ best practicesAdherence to all national and local health and safety policies and guidelinesCarry out practical duties only when competent to do so and redirect any issue that is outside scopeAssisting in the hygiene of equipment such as hoists, call bells and chairsReporting any defects in equipmentWhat we offer:Comprehensive induction trainingFree Garda VettingA rewarding working environment, with support from supervisors and managersCompetitive rates of payTraining & Development opportunitiesEmployee Assistance Programme which offers advice and counselling servicesRefer a friend bonusOn-site parkingJob Type: Full-timePay: €16.00 per hourBenefits:Bike to work schemeEmployee assistance programOn-site parkingEducation:Leaving Certificate (preferred)Experience:Maintenance: 1 year (required)Language:English (required)Work authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In person
