Job Title:           Operations Manager – Women’s Health Clinic Hours:                37 hours per week Position:             Full time, permanent and pensionable    ROLE PURPOSE: Responsible for the overall management of the Women’s Health Clinic by the provision of a seamless, safe and effective service underpinned by the cultivation of a high-performing team. Main areas of responsibility are not limited to but include the following:·      Supporting the hospital management team through leading the development of processes, care pathways, and logistics involved in launching the women’s health clinic. ·      Managing projects pertaining to the Women’s Health Clinic prior to opening through to ongoing day to day operation.·      Continuous process improvement of the Women’s Health Clinic.·      Oversee change management initiatives pertaining to the Women’s Health Clinic.·      Providing leadership in the context of the multidisciplinary and multi-professional team, with a specific focus on leading, managing and optimising the performance of teams.·      Overseeing the patient pathway relative to the operating theatre ensuring efficiency and optimisation of all resources available.·      Leading through collaboration with all relevant hospital personnel and other healthcare providers, for example consultants, secretaries, and allied health staff in planning care and ensuring efficient and effective processes. BACKGROUND/ EXPERIENCE:Essential·      Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline essential and master’s level desirable.·      Experience in operational management in a clinical setting.·      5+ years people management experience.·      Proven track record of forging and building excellent working relationships with hospital management and/or consultants.·      Demonstrated commercial acumen. Desirable·      Clinical experience in Gynaecology or related healthcare field - public or private. ·      Experience in process improvement and innovation.·      Experience in change management and transformation.·      Results driven.    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.     Operational·      Manage the Women’s Health Centre on a day to day basis.·      Develop opportunities for additional services and service development to maximise patient experience and optimise operational efficiencies.·      Ensure patient workflows are optimal for the centre in order to facilitate ease of patient access and coordination of care.·      Ensure that standard operating procedures are developed and implemented across the centre to ensure that high quality patient care is consistently delivered. ·      Perform and lead audits in order to identify areas for improvement.·      Identify and implement new initiatives that are aimed at delivering the highest standards of patient care ·      Act in a leadership capacity and as a team player who motivates, supports and engages fellow colleagues in delivering clinical excellence and personal care. ·      Ensure that excellent relationships and communications are forged and maintained with all stakeholders in the centre.·      Oversee the management of administrative tasks to facilitate the smooth running of the centre (i.e. staff rostering, absence management).·      Report any incidents, near misses and defects in equipment.·      Conduct regular team meetings and one-to-ones to cultivate a high-performing team.·      Assist in the development of future strategies for services and the centre as a whole.  2.     Communication·      Communicate appropriately with colleagues and other members of the healthcare team.·      Communicate in a manner that avoids antagonism, reduces conflict and prevents undue anxiety.·      Recognise limitations and seek assistance where necessary.·      Accept constructive advice when appropriate. 3.
