Job SummaryThe Operations Manager (Inventory) is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, security, and availability of inventory within the Micro Fulfilment Centre. The role partners closely with customer and internal teams to maintain strong inventory control, support service levels, minimise loss, and drive continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate inventory across WMS, automation, and supporting systemsConduct cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and audits to ensure high accuracyInvestigate discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actionsTrack all inventory movements (inbound, outbound, internal) for accuracy and traceabilityEnsure correct storage, labelling, stock rotation, and handling practicesMonitor inventory availability and proactively manage stock risksCollaborate with operations, supply chain, and customer teams to resolve issues and improve flowAct as primary inventory contact for the customer, supporting reporting and reviewsMaintain and enhance inventory control processes, procedures, and best practicesAnalyse inventory data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunitiesMonitor stock loss, shrinkage, and security incidentsSupport reconciliation, exception management, and returns processingEnsure compliance with company policies, H&S, quality, and audit standardsSupport product onboarding and master data accuracyProduce inventory reports, KPIs, and performance insightsDrive continuous improvement initiativesOwn key inventory KPIs (accuracy, loss, availability, compliance)RequirementsProven experience in inventory management within warehouse, e-commerce, retail, or automated environmentsStrong knowledge of inventory processes (receiving, storage, replenishment, counting, reconciliation)Experience with audits, cycle counts, and root cause analysisHands-on experience with WMS, ERP, and inventory systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilityAdvanced Excel skills (PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, reporting)Experience producing KPIs and performance reportsStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsHigh attention to detail and focus on continuous improvementAbility to manage priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environmentFlexibility to support peak operational demandsSkills & ExperienceStrong attention to detail and accuracyAnalytical thinking with the ability to interpret data and trendsProblem-solving and root cause analysis capabilitySolid inventory control and audit knowledgeEffective organisation and time managementProficiency in WMS, ERP systems, and ExcelStrong communication and stakeholder collaborationCustomer-focused mindsetContinuous improvement orientationStrong compliance and audit awarenessTeam-oriented with ability to work cross-functionallyAdaptable in a fast-paced, tech-driven environmentPersonal AttributesCalm and decisive under pressureHighly organised and analyticalCustomer-focused and proactiveSolution-orientedWorking ConditionsBased in a live e-commerce warehouse environmentShift-based role (including evenings, weekends, and peak periods)Fast-paced, high-responsibility settingKPIs and Success Measures (Aligned to Our Values)
